Cost & insurance
Do you take insurance?
Membership is cash-pay. That's how the price stays low and readable. Your medication is separate: branded prescriptions go to a regular pharmacy, where your insurance, savings cards, or manufacturer pricing can still apply. Many people pay less this way than through an insurance-billed program.
Is my medication part of my membership bill?
No. They're two separate payments. Your membership ($69–$99/mo, depending on your care) is the only thing you pay us, and it never changes based on what you're prescribed. Medication is priced and billed separately, by someone else: brand-name goes straight to the manufacturer's own pharmacy (NovoCare or LillyDirect), compounded is billed by us at the pharmacy's cost per fill, not monthly, and generics are paid to a low-cost pharmacy. If our calculator shows a combined number, that's just the two added together so you can plan. It's never one bill from us, and the medication portion is the same price no matter who you get care from.
What do I pay today?
Nothing. You complete your intake, and book a visit if one applies. No card, no charge. We set up billing only after your provider reviews your case: your first month of membership ($69 or $99, depending on your care) is charged only once they approve your treatment. Medication is separate and billed at cost: brand to the manufacturer's pharmacy, compounded billed by us at cost, generics at a low-cost pharmacy.
Can I pay monthly or quarterly?
Either; it's your choice, set up once your provider approves your treatment. Quarterly is one payment that covers three months; monthly is the same price split up. You can switch.
What if I'm not approved, do I get a refund?
There's nothing to refund. You're never charged unless your provider approves your treatment. If they can't approve it, your evaluation costs you nothing.
I need care for more than one thing. Do I pay two memberships?
No. If you're treated for two or more conditions, you're simply on one Comprehensive membership ($99/mo), never stacked memberships. Only your medication, always at cost, adds per treatment.
Can I just see a provider once, without a membership?
For simpler, one-off needs (like sexual health or weight loss), yes: a one-time visit is $149, no membership. If you just need a single visit, that may be all you want. Membership is the better fit for ongoing care, since it includes refills, messaging, and follow-up between visits. Hormone therapy and TRT are ongoing, labs-based care, so they're membership-only.
What happens to my prescription if I cancel?
It stays yours. A brand prescription lives at your pharmacy regardless of membership, and your at-cost access to compounded medication isn't gated behind membership either. Cancel anytime online: no call, no retention script, no fee.
Visits & speed
How fast is the first visit?
Most first visits happen within 2 days; switching patients are usually seen within 3, with no gap in your medication.
Is the visit by video?
If your medication is controlled, you'll always have a live video visit, usually about 15 minutes. Otherwise your provider reviews your intake; many patients are cleared by secure review, with a live visit if your care is more complex or you'd prefer one.
Medication
What does "medication at cost" mean?
Brand-name is first-line and paid to the manufacturer's pharmacy directly; we never see or mark up the price. Compounded, where it's clinically appropriate, is billed by us at the pharmacy's actual cost, per fill, shipping included. Generics route to a low-cost pharmacy you pay directly. We make $0 on your medication.
Is compounded medication legal and safe?
Compounded pharmacies we work with are licensed and state-inspected. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are prescribed only when a licensed clinician determines a compounded formulation is appropriate for an individual patient.
What if my medication runs out while I switch?
Most switching patients are seen within 3 days, with no gap in your medication. Bring your current dose and last labs and your provider picks up where you are.
How does compounded medication ship?
Compounded fills ship directly from the pharmacy, with shipping updates when the pharmacy provides them.
Privacy
Is my information private?
Your intake, ID, and visit live inside a secure, HIPAA-covered portal, never on the public site, and the eligibility check itself is anonymous. Nothing about your care appears on packaging; your card statement reads "Mica Peak Health."
